Doctor Who series 7 - Autumn 2012
Doctor Who Magazine has officially confirmed that Series 7 will not air until Autumn 2012.
It seems likely that only half of Series 7 will be shown in Autumn 2012, with the remainder coming early 2013. This means the Christmas 2012 episode would air in the middle of a series rather than the end.
It was been announced that the Eleventh Doctor, played by Matt Smith will return for the full series. Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond will return for the series, as will her husband Rory Williams, played by Arthur Darvill. The extent of Gillan and Darvill’s involvement in Series 7, however, has not yet been confirmed.
